The Mad Hatter Music Student Portal

Mad Hatter Music welcomes your family to our music school! Please observe the following studio policies that must be agreed to, prior to enrolment.


ATTENDANCE 

A special place is reserved weekly, for your child in our music school. Please do your best to arrive on time, to receive the full benefits of your scheduled class. We do not offer makeup classes. Please refer to our “missed lessons page, for further details.

 
TUITION AND PAYMENT 

We hold piano classes all year round, except during the QLD school holidays. 


MONTHLY PAYMENTS  

Your classes are billed as a monthly subscription. On the 20th of each month, payment will be processed for all scheduled lessons coming up until the 20th of the next month.

Class payments are charged automatically via debit/credit card, through your My Music Staff account. Payments are debited on the same date each month. All payments are non-refundable. 


SCHOOL HOLIDAYS/BREAKS

We break during the QLD school holidays. These lesson breaks will be scheduled on the calendar and therefore not charged to your account. 


FAILED PAYMENTS 

If your monthly auto-payment fails, you are required to make alternative arrangements to pay online, before the due date. Payments are due 2 days after your invoice was emailed.

Failure to make payment by the due date or by your next lesson (whichever comes first), will result in a suspension of all lessons until your account is brought up to date. 


TERMINATING LESSONS 

As a small piano school, we aim to be completely approachable when it comes to difficulties you might be experiencing with lessons. If your child is struggling, or you have concerns, we really do want to help! Please first consider coming to us with questions, so we can find a suitable solution. 

If you wish to discontinue lessons, you must notify us of this request, via email to "hello@madhattermusic.com.au". 

 All cancellation requests must be made with 14 days notice of your next invoice.  After 14 days (2 weeks), your payments to us will discontinue. 

 

MEDIA RELEASE CONSENT

We ask for permission to display occasional photos and/or videos of you or your child doing amazing work, on our promotional channels. This may include our Facebook Page, Instagram, and marketing materials. Examples of photos and videos include performing a piece or showing off a recent achievement. 

You may revoke this authorisation at any time by contacting us directly, via email. 

We love being able to share your child's progress with you via photos and videos. We also love giving you the chance to share this footage with your family and friends. Music lessons are an exciting adventure for kids, and we want to give you lots of reasons to be very proud of them along the way!

MATERIALS 

Extra required lesson materials such as books; notebooks or sheet music will be invoiced separately. Please budget for around $70/year in extra materials


TEACHER ABSENCE 

In cases of teacher absence, lessons will be rescheduled at your earliest convenience or credited to your account.

Mums, dads and caregivers - we APPRECIATE you! You're awesome. Thank you for choosing to enrol your child in music lessons with us and giving them a chance to thrive and grow in confidence.
